|Cris Pedregal||Cris Pedregal joined the Database Development organization at Oracle in 2005, where as a senior developer he contributed to the design and development of high availability functionality, the Recovery Appliance, compression technology, and the initial cloud deployments of the Oracle Database. He moved to the product management team, where he has managed and launched product features and evangelized Oracle technologies, and driven technical relationships with key external partners.
Prior to joining Oracle, Cris was on the Computer Science faculty at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. He earned his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and his Licenciado en Informática from ESLAI, Argentina. He speaks one natural language with 2.5 accents.

|Roy Swonger||Roy Swonger has over three decades of experience in commercial software development. His 20+-year career at Oracle has included work on software process and quality improvement as well as a progression of management roles in technical documentation, software development tools, and core database technologies. Roy has managed the Database Upgrade & Utilities in the Server Technologies division for more than 13 years. In this capacity he is responsible for the development of database features such as the Data Pump, SQL*Loader, External Tables, and Transportable Tablespaces. In addition, Roy runs the global Upgrade Program for the database, coordinating worldwide efforts to make database upgrades faster, easier, and less risky for customers.
